The current global economic crisis is reshaping our worldwide perception of wood industry that has been long believed steady. Giant companies struggle for survival and customers' habits are also in change. Those, who want to keep their sales, need to change together with the altering market.
One of the world's leading suppliers of woodworking machinery and technologies, the Italian SCM Group, presented a new concept at this year's Ligna Hanover Fair. Since then, having merged the woodworking machine families belonging to the group, Casadei Macchine and Busellato CNC, the company has attempted to penetrate the market trough a new sales channel with a bit different approach. The two trademarks, both with a well-established name, have a long history as Casadei "has consumed" the world's wood stock since 1945 while Busellato has been on the market since 1956. They both have accumulated significant knowledge and experience.
The current marriage has resulted in the establishment of a new group working separately from the mother company and managing its own sales network to fully utilise the machinery manufacturing capacity available in Italy and to approach customers' trough new channels. Casadei-Busellato Group is now represented by a new company in Hungary as well. As a direct distributor, Ypszilon Hungary Engineering and Consulting Ltd. (Ypszilon Hungary Mérnöki és Tanácsadó Kft.), based in Zalaegerszeg, has become the "owner" of the technologies.
Ypszilon Hungary Engineering and Consulting Ltd. aims to sell woodworking machines and technology-similarly to outlets-in a simple way, fulfilling its customers' needs at the lowest cost possible.
